Rocky Road

Hello!
I recently made some rocky road and it was sooooo good, so I thought I would share the recipe with you. What’s perfect about this recipe is you can’t go wrong! All the ingredients go together really nicely.
Ingredients:
+ 150g of butter
+ 350g of dark chocolate (I used Whittakers 50% dark chocolate)
+ 4 tbsp of golden syrup
+ 245g of plain biscuits
+ 150g of marshmallows
+ 1/4 or 1/2 a bag of jelly babies (or any other gummy candies)
Method:
First measure the butter, and then cut it up into little cubes to make it easier to melt later on.
Then get your chocolate and break it into sets of two’s and threes.
Next put your butter and chocolate into a saucepan and then add in your golden syrup.
After that melt your ingredients on a low heat on your element.
When your butter, chocolate and golden syrup has all melted together, move onto your biscuits. Put them into a zip-lock bag and get a hammer and smash them all up. I used round wine biscuits. Also, make sure you don’t smash them up so much that you get left with heaps of little crumbs, make the pieces quite big.
Once your biscuits are all smashed up, add them into the chocolate mixture.
Then add in your marshmallows.
Something I forgot to do was cut up the marshmallows before I put them in, so I had to go back and cut them all up after I had already pored them in!!!
Now we are left with the last ingredient, jelly babies. You can choose how many you want to put in your rocky road, but for me I chose all the purple ones (they are my favourite) and cut them up and added them in.
Make sure to stir your mixture really well so everything is combined.
Next get a square baking tin and line it with baking paper and pour the rocky road mixture into it. Then spread it out evenly.
Pop it in the fridge and let it set for 2 hours or more. Once it’s done it should be rock solid. Take it out of the tin and cut it up and eat it! It is probably the best rocky road I have ever tasted even though it is really easy to make.
I hope you guys have a good long weekend and decide to make this!! Haha
